Let’s bake a cake for every couple in our Neighborhood that has been married 50 plus years. This was our thought of how we, Crossroads Neighborhood Church, would bless our neighborhood of Mayerthorpe and space for Valentines Day. It must be simple, our neighborhood is small – perhaps 20 {couples}?
Within the weeks that adopted we found with the assistance of some very neighborhood minded associates, that we truly had 36 {couples} that had been married greater than 50 years. On Friday (Feb. 12) a couple of women met on the church to bake desserts. Then on Saturday one other group of girls got here to ice and adorn the desserts, and at last on Sunday (Valentines Day) the desserts have been delivered to {couples} whose love and dedication had stood the check of time.
A lot of our seniors are remoted due to COVID from household and associates and we belief our reward of a cake and card, reminded them that they’re considered.
