The primary assembly of one of many three committees in Otsego County required to approve a police reform plan as outlined and ordered by Governor Cuomo befell final evening.
In accordance with AllOtsego.com, the Cooperstown Village Board met by way of Zoom to debate the Police Reform and Reinvention Collaborative Plan certification. The three entities within the county, the Metropolis of Oneonta and Otsego County authorities and the Village of Cooperstown all have their very own police departments, and are required to submit experiences on the plan by April 1. The Mayor of Cooperstown has expressed that the village was decided to develop the plan and have it reviewed by the general public properly upfront of the deadline, to make sure there have been no last-minute misunderstandings.
